Please Read Carefully Prior To Using This Website/Service.

 

Registering with Horizon Logistics Express means that you have accepted all our terms and conditions published here. These Terms are legally binding on all users of this Service and Website and constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User” or “Importer”) and the Company. By accessing this Website, and/or by using the Service, the User expressly and irrevocably agrees to the Terms and to abide by the Terms. These Terms currently list the Company’s current policies and terms and conditions, but, as noted below, the Terms may be adjusted from time to time at the Company’s discretion. If the User of this Service or Website does not agree with any of these Terms, the User may not, under any circumstances, utilize Horizon Logistics Express services or Website.

 

Signing Up


Users are required to register on our website to utilize our services. After creating an account with us, each customer will be given a US mailing address along with a unique HLE mailbox number to which packages can be sent at any time. When making a purchase, the complete mailing address must be entered in order to prevent packages from being delivered to the wrong person. An incorrect mailing address may also attract a fee to have it modified to the correct address.

 

Services Offered


Horizon Logistics Express provides Air & Sea Freight services to individuals. Packages are transported 3 times per week from our Florida warehouse to Jamaica via Air Freight and once weekly to Jamaica via Sea Freight. We advise each customer to Pre-Alert their packages as soon as they receive a shipped confirmation from their suppliers. This will aide in hassle-free shipping to Jamaica and timely deliveries.

We encourage customers to ensure that their items are properly packaged in order to prevent damage. Horizon Logistics Express will not assume responsibility for items that may become damaged outside of our care such as when clearing customs or packages that may have arrived damaged from the company that you purchased from online. We will only assume liability for packages that may become damaged or missing while in our possession.


Horizon Logistics Express prices packages according to their weight and/or size of the package. We provide a rate sheet on our website so that customers may obtain an estimate of the cost of their package(s) beforehand.

 

General Conditions

Our rates are subject to change without notice.

 

Package(s) not collected after 14 calendar days will attract a storage fee of $100JMD per day. Furthermore, if a package(s) remains at our local warehouse after 30 calendar days, package(s) will be auctioned to recover any expenses related to the importation of the package(s).

 

It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure all contents are accounted for and in good order before leaving the place of business or the presence of the delivery personnel, failure to do so means the customer has no claim for compensation. 

 

Customers having missing packages, must show clear proof that it occurred while in our possession. (e.g., Must be signed for by personnel at our Florida Warehouse)

 

Any restricted items imported without proper permits may be subjected to customs detention or seizure. 

Prohibited items will be seized by Customs and the relevant authorities notified. Additional costs may be associated with Items imported in the contravention of the Customs Act.

Prohibited Uses

 

You are prohibited from using the site or its content: (a) for any unlawful purpose; (b) to solicit others to perform or participate in any unlawful acts; (c) to violate any international, federal, provincial or state regulations, rules, laws, or local ordinances; (d) to infringe upon or violate our intellectual property rights or the intellectual property rights of others; (e) to harass, abuse, insult, harm, defame, slander, disparage, intimidate, or discriminate based on gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, race, age, national origin, or disability; (f) to submit false or misleading information; (g) to upload or transmit viruses or any other type of malicious code that will or may be used in any way that will affect the functionality or operation of the Services or of any related website, other websites, or the Internet; (h) to collect or track the personal information of others; (i) to spam, phish, pharm, pretext, spider, crawl, or scrape; (j) for any obscene or immoral purpose; or (k) to interfere with or circumvent the security features of the Service or any related website, other websites, or the Internet.

We reserve the right to terminate your use of the Service or any related website for violating any of the prohibited uses.

 

Indemnification

 

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Horizon Logistics Express and our parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, officers, directors, agents, contractors, licensors, service providers, subcontractors, suppliers, interns and employees, harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third-party due to or arising out of your breach of these Terms and Conditions or the documents they incorporate by reference, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third-party.

 

Termination of Services

Horizon Logistics Express reserves the right to refuse service, or terminate the account of anyone that has breached our terms of use and policies.

We reserve the right at anytime to modify or discontinue any service without prior notice.

We shall not be held liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, rate change, suspension or discontinuation of any service.
